Becky King, LCSW, has worked in the field of substance use disorders and mental health services for the past 30 years. She began her career at Valley Mental Health in 1994, where she worked as a case manager while attending the University of Utah, Graduate School of Social Work. Her practicum placements provided her with experience with family therapy, sexual abuse counseling for children and correctional group work, after which she worked as a therapist at Valley Mental Health. She then moved on to Salt Lake County Criminal Justice Services in 2000 where she worked as a Drug Court Therapist then as the Clinical Director for the Court and Treatment Services Program.
She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1999.
Ms. King graduated from the Women's Addiction Services Leadership Institute in 2009 and served as a coach for this institute in 2016. There were a total of 18 women in the United States that were selected for this Institute. The Women's Addiction Services Leadership Institute is an initiative of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)
developed and implemented by Advocates for Human Potential, Inc.
Ms. King is a Program Administrator for the Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health has has provided oversight for statewide women, youth and family programs since 2007. She also provides leadership coaching and consulting services for behavioral health organizations. She is the the Women's Services Network Representative for the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Directors, where she she assists with local and national projects, including the development of the following publications:
Becky has several years experience in grant writing and has assisted her organization in receiving several million dollars to fund local projects in Utah. Becky has provided clinical supervision for social work interns and individuals working toward their clinical license since 2001. She is also working as a therapist for BetterHelp, is a Clinical Supervisor for CLD3 Counseling and is the Medical Social Work Director for
AFI and Cascade Springs Home Health and Hospice.
Becky is dedicated to providing quality services, enhancing lives and making a positive difference in the lives of
individuals, families and communities.
